A young man has a strange and scary dream that forces him to think about his
actions. In the dream, he is extremely hungry and thirsty. He searches his kitchen and fridge but finds only scraps—fruit peels, a packet of raw Maggi, potatoes, and an onion. Desperate,he eats the raw Maggi and potato, but they make him sick and leave him feeling even worse. As he struggles, he remembers how, one day, he had thrown away a plate of biryani into the dustbin. Full of regret, he digs through the trash to find the biryani and tries to eat it, but even that doesn’t satisfy his hunger and thirst.
In this miserable state, he meets a version of himself—an “inner man” who laughs at his
situation but begs for water. Desperate, he realizes there is some water in the bathroom flush. With no other option, he drinks it and breaks down, crying and feeling completely helpless.
Suddenly, his mobile alarm starts ringing, and he wakes up from the dream, sweating and
shaking. The dream makes him realize how much food and water he has wasted in the past.Feeling guilty, he decides to never waste food or water again and to be more mindful of their value. The Hunger Within is a heartfelt story about realizing the importance of necessities and learning to respect and value what we have.
